Kelryn (RDM)
Rav (PLD)
Scripture (NIN)
Seyonne (DRG)
Sliderr (BRD)
Wenora (WHM)

Citanul (BLM)
Lailiyah (THF)
Psycokila (RDM)
Taya (MNK)
Unicronian (DRG)

Cyferis (RDM)
Giovon (PLD)
Keitaro (BLM)
Rekiconeki (SMN)
Ropheka (SMN)
Toefer (BLM)

We took the NE Apollyon route. First floor was fairly simple. We camped at the entrance while people pulled. Mages stayed back, nuked, and slept adds. Sleepga was a bit annoying from the Mandys though. Maybe I should have subbed /WHM for this. Someone aggroed the Goobbue Harvester before we killed all the Mandys. Citanul died. Goobbue hurts… >.< We thought we got all the mandys in this level… but somehow we aggroed three at one time. Kelryn and Citanul died. Benedict Yarn dropped.

Alright… so nuking the big bird, Bialozar at 50% health was a bad idea. In one hit, Dread Dive, he went through Blink, Stoneskin, and I still took about 600+ pts in damage. I almost died with little over 100 hps left. Blue Rivet dropped. For the last two groups of mobs, we just killed the big mob. The other BLMs used ES + Sleepga II to sleep the four smaller remaining birds, grab the chests, and make a run for the vortex.

This next floor, we killed dolls and pots. They seemed to be close together so we did a Carby pull for them. Big pots drop items, Dolls open vortex, and small pots are teh suck. During one pull, we were fighting a doll and aggroed a pot. Reki died. Cardinal Cloth dropped. Too bad I already have it. >.< Where’s the BLM drop when you need it? Pot aggroed Ropheka while we were killing the last doll. Ropheka died before anyone else noticed.

On this floor, we killed Opo-opos. After first monkey, Cronos aggroed someone. Fighting the Cronos add was a bit unorganized and it took a lot of time. It was hard since Cronos was immune to physical damage. A bunch of us didn’t know what we were doing. One person was screaming to cast at a certain time… no time was called out. Another one would start casting magic on it, a third would sleep it, and a fourth would cast magic on it again to wake it up. But we still managed to kill it with no deaths. Used up my mp though. Perhaps I should have 2hred. Astral Leather and Brown Doeskin dropped. I decided to take it. Maybe I’ll get something nice for my BRD… I think we just opened the item chest, found the giant that opened the vortex and left.

Last floor was ok. Dhamels died quickly. Nomaded around and killed all eight. Manticores are easy if you pull them one by one. The mages needed to stand away to avoid Riddle. It was ok. Smoky Chip dropped. In total, we earned over 60 coins for the night.

Deaths
Citanul – 2
Kelryn – 1
Ropheka – 1

Omega Fight – Again!!!

Thursday, November 2, 2006

Last night I prepared for Limbus. I would be home late from work. I timed it so that I would be ready to go to Limbus from the moment I got back. When I signed on, apparently we were doing Omega… Again!

Party 1:
Cyferis (RDM/DRK)
Nagiwazus (MNK)
Rav (PLD)
Seyonne (DRG)
Toefer (BLM)
Wenora (WHM)

Party 2:
Chicko (NIN)
Lauren (NIN)
Marshmellow (WHM)
Ropheka (BRD)
Sliderr (BRD)
Taya (RDM/DRK)

Party 3:
Colestin (BLM)
Firella (RDM/DRK)
Giovon (COR)
Rekiconeki (SMN)
Searsay (BLM)
Vijeet (BLM)

This will be good. We had an extra RDM/DRK then last time so we had a nice little 7-man stun order. Also the 3 RDM/DRKs would make for some good Chainspell Stunning at the end. We were all set up and prepared to enter. Unfortunate I could not enter. I forgot to buy soap. Damnit! Oh horror of horrors! I left with my head down in shame.

I swore I bought some from the night before, but maybe I should have read the text instead of assume I got one. I think I couldn’t buy one last night because I participated in the Limbus run on Monday. Therefore I was attempting to purchase detergent within the three day waiting period. Today’s Lesson is: Buy soap all the time, even when you think you have it.

I guess they didn’t need me though. With a 17 person alliance, they destroyed the thing in 10 minutes…. WTF!?!?! Last time it took us half an hour and we barely beat it. I guess they had a better grasp of what Omega was capable of. Also having three RDM/DRKs this time was nice. Started to Chainspell Stun Omega at 20% health (the time when he goes crazy). Damn…

Yet another day of money gathering with my limbus LS, Disposable Heroes. The alliance consisted of:

Party 1 (MNK duo-ness): Nagiwazushi (MNK) and Zarchery (MNK)

Party 2 (Tanks and other people I don’t have to worry about): Chicko (WAR), Chipya (DRG), Cyferis (RDM), Lauren (NIN), and Marshmellow (WHM)

Party 3 (The BLM Party – which isn’t full of BLMs, but has a good amount): Firella (RDM), Searsay (BLM), Seiferx (DRG), Seyrr (THF), Toefer (BLM), Vijeet (BLM)

In this Limbus event, each floor contains a different series of beastman types. It contains seven floors with anything between four and eights mobs per floor. You get there through the Teleport-Holla entrance and you can only open one chest per floor.

Level 1 (Moblin madness): This floor was fairly easy. I know this because I noted absolutely nothing about this floor. Whoopie!

Level 2 (Gigas): This floor contains four Gigas. In a square room, there are three gigas in the center with one giga patroling the parimeter. The giga on the parimeter can be pulled solo while the other three will link. We pulled the patroling giga, Kari, first, then killed the other three, Thrym, Beli, and Skadi. It was fairly easy. A ninja item dropped on this floor.

Level 3 (Sahagins): We slept some fish people and started to wail on them. We attacked the WHM first. He used his 2hr to heal for over 6000 hps and awoke the sleeping fish people. We reslept them and kept on killing.

Level 4 (Demons): Demons roam in pairs. We tried to sleep them and fight the others, but it was a bit chaotic since they have a good amount of Dark Magic Resistance. I ran over to one of the sleepers to help him out when the Dark Elemental Pet casted Sleepga. It sucked too because then the Demon SMN used its 2hr and hit about 11/13 of us. Practically everyone was in red health with double digits. Marshmellow, Vijeet, and Firella died. I survived thanks to Stoneskin. Cyferis died to the Elemental later on.

Most likely, next time we’ll try to take the SMN down to 60% health then MB. Perhaps it’s even better if we just try to avoid them. The WHM item dropped and Zarchery fell asleep, so we left him on that floor.

Level 5 (Anticans): Damn Anticans and their silence. It was quite an annoying fight. I had to give Marshmellow and Lauren some Echo Drops so they wouldn’t get owned. I had some extra from the Omega fight.

Level 6 (Tonberries): I think we were getting lazy and short on time. We wanted to avoid SMNs again so this time we tried to sneak past some Tonberries. Someone aggroed of course and Vijeet died. The SMN 2hred and then Firella, Searsay, Seyrr, Vijeet (again!), and I died. That Cypronberry Skulker owned us. After we killed it, Searsay did a nice little res-sickness EM+Sleepga II on the remaining mobs and we ran to the elevator like little girls.

Level 7 (Goblins): This level is suppose to be really easy… and it was. The melees didn’t even wait for the mages to get out of res sickness. Sadly Nagiwazushi died to poison. Oh well. A DRG item dropped and we earned a total of 45 Ancient Beastmen coins for the night.

Proto-Omega

Thursday, October 26, 2006

It was a nice little fight. Disposable Heroes had a full alliance. There were four BLMs, two RDM/DRKs, 2 NINs, a PLD, and the rest were filled in with melee jobs that I didn’t care about. There was at least a SMN, MNK, DRG, BRD, and 2 WHMs present. Now that I think about it, it doesn’t appear we had that much melee power, but then again, there are four more slots available so who knows what filled it. Probably more DRGs. DH is a DRG enriched ls. Maybe they want to do Desert Swarm one day.

So over the next 1/2 hr, we slowly killed Proto-Omega. The stunners had a stun rotation. The BLMs would nuke Tier II spells while PO was on all four legs. The melee would rush in and fight while PO was on two legs. When Gunpods spawned, our PLD/NIN would aggro it and run around until BLMs nuked it with Tier IV spells. It was quite nice and easy until it got to its final form. Then people started to die.

At 25% health, Proto-Omega stands on two feet and starts to beat the crap out of people. I died four times during the next 10 minutes or so. People were dying left and right. There were weakend people and double weakend (I’m not sure what double weakend people are though, I just heard it over party chat). It was very chaotic. The best people killer move was Laser Shower. It got really close. Towards the end, people were just 2hring and beating the shit out of Proto-Omega… and then dying. We beat it with 1 minute to spare. And people were shouting, “get to the box!!!” I stayed dead because I was out of mp and I already 2hred around the last 7-8 minutes mark. Unfortunately the only pieces that dropped were the head pieces. Oh well.
