Bahamut Fight V1

Monday, November 6, 2006

Time for the ultimate fight between good and evil, right and wrong, dragons and much smaller people that don’t even go up to its knees. That’s right! It’s time for the Bahamut V1 fight or as some other people like to call it, the Storms of Fate quest.

Colestin (BLM)
Nagiwazushi (MNK)
Psycokila (RDM)
Searsay (BLM)
Seyrr (THF)
Toefer (BLM)

Chipya (DRG)
Cyferis (RDM/DRK)
Itichiti (WHM)
Kathane (DRG)
Keceltes (DRK)
Unicronian (DRG)

Casolaus (NIN)
Marshmellow (PLD/NIN)
Rekiconeki (SMN)
Scripture (NIN)
Taya (RDM/DRK)
Zarchery (WHM)

The meeting time was 7:30p pst, so naturally people weren’t ready until 8:30p-9:30p. People were getting a bit impatient, so we decided to ditch Scripture. He didn’t have the quest prepared and still needed to run around and do a couple of cutscenes.

I decided to /NIN this fight since most of Bahamut’s attacks looked like they would be stopped by shadows. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring some oils/powders like a noob. >.< Of course, when we entered Riverne – Site B01 both Keceltes and Chipya said, “let’s roc.” Fookers… -.- Zarchery died along the way, but that was our only death before the BC.

Seyonne (DRG) came and took Scripture’s spot before the fight. When we entered I realized that it may not have been the best idea to go as /NIN. I had no Stoneskin, and it would have been easier for me to travel in Riverne with a little bit of Sneaking and Invising. Oh well, let’s see how I do.

I believe Seyrr, Chipya x2, Seyonne, Kathane, and Casolaus died. Most other people didn’t die, I think because either 1) They were /NIN, or 2) They were far away from Bahamut’s AoEs. I was the latter. It went really well though. Marshmellow and her leet tanking skills controlled Bahamut for the majority of the fight. I casted some Tier IV nukes every once in a while, then manafonted when we hit crunch time around 10% health. We even beat the record. It was a fairly easy fight. Especially with two Chainspell-Stunners.

Afterwards, everyone left. It was only Chipya, Kathane, Keceltes, and me. I d2 Keceltes and waited a bit. I guess Chipya and Kat were doing something else, but Chipya died. I tractored him, Kat raised him, then I d2ed them both. They didn’t want to leave yet though… Oops, sorry guys. m(_ _)m Well, I don’t really pay that much attention to what’s going on. Maybe I should stop watching TV. >.> I did say, “let me d2 you guys first” or something similar… Oh well, my bad. 0=)
