Mission 5-2… The Shadowlord’s mah biatch!

Having gone 2hr crazy during the last mission, Chipya came to refresh our abilities as COR. He got it first try… that’s like 6x better than Tyrni could ever do. What a fookin’ noob!

The trek out to the Throne Room in Castle Zavhl Keep took forever. The tres amigos kept aggroing things. Also FFXIclopedia was no help with directions. I had to look at my map and try to go from there. I think it took an hour or so to navigate through the whole area. If only the wiki had said to go North at H-9 in Castle Zavhl Baileys, we would have been fine.

When we finally got to the throne room, Keceltes, Kathane, Karmi, and Tyrni entered quickly. Keceltes skipped the cutscene and started to fight the Shadowlord. That resulted in me and Rahael being locked out. We had to wait for them to beat it. This was clearly Keceltes’ fault.

In the end of the fight, Keceltes and Karmi died. Kat had to beat the Shadowlord single handedly while Tyrni was cheering her on. Unfortunately they got kicked out to the beginning of Castle Zavhl Baileys so Rahael and I had to wait about 20 minutes for them to come back. It was much faster though since they left Tyrni and Karmi and actually knew the way there.

Then there were four of us. In the Shadowlord’s first form, he apparently changes physical and magical immunity pretty easily. I didn’t even see when it happens, I just notice when Keceltes and Kathane start hitting it for zero. Then I start the nukage. Rahael died. She asked if she should rr, but I told her to stay down. Other than the immunity, the first form wasn’t too hard.

The second form of the Shadowlord was a bitch. He kept AoEing us like a mofo. Sometime during his spamming AoEs, I guess Rahael got worried that we lv 75s were going to die. We did get to 1/2 health or lower. So she RRs. The next second, the Shadowlord AoEs and she’s down again. Oh well. I ran to the stairs behind him, Stoneskin, then started the holy hell of MF nukage. We beat the mission with no further deaths… Damn… I was hoping for another death by Keceltes. I’m not sure how a 75 RDM/NIN can solo him when he goes AoE crazy though… Maybe with a lot of Sleeping…

Congrats to Karmi, Rahael, and Tyrni for reaching Rank 6. Woot! Also congrats for getting Keceltes killed. Yes… precious screenshots…

Helping the lowbies get their mission done. I just think this is Keceltes’ way of getting them to do Zilart and Promy Missions. Or it’s just a nice thing to do for our fellow LS mates.

A nice level 50 capped fight. At first it looked like we were losing. When the main mobs health was at 50%, Ty and I had almost ran out of mp. Then we 2hred and just started nuking the shit out of it. Rahael bene us and I think Kec 2hred sometime ago. We managed to win without anyone dying. Woot, time for Mission 5-2!

Last night I prepared for Limbus. I would be home late from work. I timed it so that I would be ready to go to Limbus from the moment I got back. When I signed on, apparently we were doing Omega… Again!

This will be good. We had an extra RDM/DRK then last time so we had a nice little 7-man stun order. Also the 3 RDM/DRKs would make for some good Chainspell Stunning at the end. We were all set up and prepared to enter. Unfortunate I could not enter. I forgot to buy soap. Damnit! Oh horror of horrors! I left with my head down in shame.

I swore I bought some from the night before, but maybe I should have read the text instead of assume I got one. I think I couldn’t buy one last night because I participated in the Limbus run on Monday. Therefore I was attempting to purchase detergent within the three day waiting period. Today’s Lesson is: Buy soap all the time, even when you think you have it.

I guess they didn’t need me though. With a 17 person alliance, they destroyed the thing in 10 minutes…. WTF!?!?! Last time it took us half an hour and we barely beat it. I guess they had a better grasp of what Omega was capable of. Also having three RDM/DRKs this time was nice. Started to Chainspell Stun Omega at 20% health (the time when he goes crazy). Damn…

BCNM 40 – The Quest for the Peacock Charm

Time to get some sh1nyz!!! Alright so once again, Enginerds ran a little BCNM 40 run to get some moola. We ran to Horais Peak to do the BCNM 40: Under Observation.

Team 1: Kathane (DRG), Keceltes (NIN), Toefer (RDM) with alternate Rahael (WHM).
Team 2: Chipya (NIN), Karmi (NIN), Rya (WHM) with alternate Tyrni (RDM).

In one run, I lost hate and it killed Keceltes when he had no shadows… I ran like a little girl while Kathane was bound, beaten, and killed by the remaining Hecteyes. It’s been such a long time since we’ve lost a BCNM 40. I gravitied the main Hecteye mob, then I casted Water II on it. I tried to run but it bound me. Then it petrified me. When petrified wore off, I thought I still had hate. Guess I was wrong. I turned around and ran back only to see it nuke and kill Keceltes (the trip was definitely worth it). Then I ran away and exited the BCNM.

Keceltes told me later that it probably didn’t matter. He was out of shadows with a 15 second timer for the next one. Either way, it seemed that he was going to die.

It seemed that I wasn’t the only loser there, our second group perished as well. Chipya, Karmi, and Tyrni lost one as well. They all died. Oh well, all that matters was that I survive. Even if it wasn’t my BCNM fight. =)

Team 2 did another BCNM fight. Somewhere in the middle, Chipya dced and was not allowed to reenter the BCNM. Tyrni and Karmi had to duo it. They did pretty well too. Killed the last mob just as time wore. Too little too late I suppose. Oh well, better luck next time.

We went 0/10 for the PCC this time if I counted correctly. I believe Tyrni and I both used two Star Orbs. Damn… we usually get at least one PCC. So sad… T.T

DRK – Party in the Jungle

Came home early from work today. Thought I might as well get my other jobs leveled quickly. Well at least level my DRK to 37 for some sweet sweet Chainspell Stun action.

We ran around for a little bit. As usual, Yhoator Jungle was just full of people. We manage to find a camp spot at F-8. During one pull, Demonsteve Diaed a lizard and took him and the other WHM Veritus out. Had to /sh for a raise. That was on the second mob we fought.

After that, I nuked a lizard which keeled Blase, Veritus, and me. Veritus asked me why I did it. Maybe he’s catching on that I’m trying to sabotage this xp party. Or he’s a frustrated idiot that died because he cured two fools. Either way, it didn’t change the fact that it was my fault that time. Other than that, it was a short lived and slow xp party. We earned about 3,000 to 4,000 xps in 1.5 to 2 hrs of partying.
